Things like this kinda tick me off...

We were ordering Aiden's new car seat from Babies R Us the other day because they have a coupon code for 15% off car seats AND there is a free shipping promotion on the car seat. Great, right? Well, apparently you can only use ONE promotion. Huh? I mean, they did put the coupon out at the same time the shipping deal is out on the SAME PRODUCT. Hello..... Ryan even called customer service to ask about it. So, we had to pick the "best deal" from each of those. Doesn't make sense especially knowing that in-store you can combine coupons, but this car seat is only available online. Basically, the 15% off just paid for shipping and taxes since we couldn't get the free shipping, too. That kind of stuff really annoys me. I would have ordered from somewhere else just because of the principle, but this still saved us a tiny bit of money...

If Ryan hadn't went on and placed the order while I was feeding Aiden in the other room, though, I might just have ordered it from somewhere else anyway.

I'll tell you more about this seat and why we chose it once we get it and try it out with Aiden.

that doesn't seem right! we just got evie's new crib and we got free shipping plus 10% off. did you call the store customer service or the website customer service? the website customer service was really helpful for me...they were actually the one who gave me the 10% off promotion code when i explained our whole crib situation. the store customer service wasn't helpful at all.

I'm interested to hear your choice, we upgraded just before Easter. I guess I'll hold off revealing my car seat choice until you discuss yours... I;-)

I'm not sure...Ryan called. And he's much nicer about these things than I am. If I feel like I'm getting ripped off, I'll say so. Maybe we should try again... I think if they're running both promos at the same time, they should honor both. Or else they shouldn't do it simultaneously! Thanks! We'll have to call again and ask!

Becky - I linked to the seat. But there aren't many reviews on BRU. And I want to make sure he fits in it right before saying "this is the one" - so once we know all that, I'll write more about why we went with this one. It's a newer seat - BRU actually just started carrying it.

Leigh Ann - where are you finding the two different numbers for the BRU store customer service and the website customer service? We were getting the seat all ready and figuring out how to install it and actually found a place that was dented on the car seat (which seems like it should be IMPOSSIBLE, so i'm completely flabbergasted but am not about to use the thing!), and I want to call the one that will help the most. :) Thanks!!
